Ok. Just read about this...

I'm throwing down the gauntlet. Wouldn't it be cool to have a Propeller interfaced to Dynamixel AX12 based bipedal bot connected to a MS Kinect box, and control it through RPC calls or something?
A Dancing Mini Robot.. Just an idea. Lots of use for this interfaced to a Prop I'm sure.

I certainly wouldn't bother getting one for my XBOX after reading more of the fine print that goes along with it. Here is one article that talks about it:
http://www.networkworld.com/community/blog/kinect-long-term-privacy-issues-daunting
This is one section that is a bit alarming: "All that you do with Kinect while connected to Xbox Live is the property of Microsoft for whatever use it might see fit. The personal information collected might be used for marketing, for tracking, or stored and is currently defined by Microsoft's Privacy Policy. Why would the anyone want the stored information? That remains to be seen, but Microsoft has a history of helping law enforcement figure out how to ask for user information and also a history of sacrificing privacy in favor of money making possibilities."
You get to pay M$ for the privilege of them using any of your info any way they want.

Actually, if you actually read the Terms of Service and their Privacy Policy, you'll see that the guy writing the article is full of it. He has several very misleading statements and clearly bends the truth to fit his tin foil hat agenda. (Just go read his "evidence," for example.)
I love my Kinect on my XBox and I think it's great that we now have the ability to use it on other platforms besides the XBox.
I'm actually looking forward to hooking it up to a Prop!!!
