In stamp works experiment #5 , the bar graph. In a effort to conserve pins...I want to run the leds from a 74hc595,,,or any device thats as good.

Is there a command i should look at and learn,,, to out put the info,, in a serial manner?.to the 595 .ie shiftout/,pulse out any other hints I am gratefull for too ,,Thanks

    There's a whole chapter in the StampWorks Manual on expanding I/O using the 74HC595 complete with coding examples. Normally, SHIFTOUT and PULSOUT are used to control it.

    yup...Thats all the help I needed. It was just a simple matter of adding a shiftout to the code to talk to the 595,,Thanks for your reply
