what time is it in europe GMT+0?

    checked that -
it's 2:30 am on 6.11.2010 saturday morning. Pretty early watch and mobil phone alarms adjusted to 2:30 am

still a question: do I have to be registered only on savage circuits or additional on vBulletin to be able to chat?

Let's see, that will be about 9:30am here in Taiwan (9:30pm in NYC). I suspect I'll still be in the sack. I'd love to hear Chip as he certainly is interesting and rarely heard from. But insomnia keeps me up until 3am or later. The Propller TWO (which I'd like to call "codename" Krakatowa) is going to really offer huge leaps in development.

Try not to miss this event. But sure to get a 'login' with Chris beforehand if you want to ask questions. I may even struggle to get online for it.

Not sure what time zone CET is...the official thread for this event is located here: Friday Chat Room #3

Someone there has a time zone calculator, so if you post on that thread they could probably link the time. You must register (free) to see the chat. It will not be on until 1/2 hour before the event, and anyone who misses it can see what was discussed in the archive.

I also talked to Ken Gracey about posting the archive chat from that discussion on the Parallax Propeller forums, since it contains information about the Propeller 2.

Cool! I'll check in if the website lets me.

Here's a world time clock set with California time for anyone that needs it:

Best idea is to always include the GMT time in the original posting. That way it eliminates the need for everyone else to guess what others' timezone offsets are. Only have to work with your own.

Or include what timezone offset you've used to post the times with. This works quite well as it can provide a verification of whether you have added daylight saving in or not.

In both cases it eliminates the obscure three letter timezone naming scheme that invokes a big guessing game.

I tried several times to register but several items didn't seem to work. Especially the 'graphic text' one. I didn't like the fact that too much had to be rekeyed in each time it wasn't accepted; like the first entry.

Is there going to be an archive of it available to view? If so when and where?

I'd like to hear anything NEW on the PROP 2; of course, just like every else.

At one time there were 27? logged on. I don't think it was limited to 10.

Other people had problems logging in, as I hear after the fact.

Yes, Chris is going to post a synopsis of Q&A to Chip, stripping out the idle chatter.

He said it will be posted on this forum and his site.

Chris also archived the entire Chat Box on his site. You have to be a member to view it if IIRC

You can read all the gory detail before and after Chip's visit. :)

I have a account and could not log on.

Ran into a goofy bug that cost me a lot of time.

If you are either registering, or asking for a new password (which is what I was doing because I had botched remembering mine), there is a captcha test.

Well, if you fail that test the first time, none of the subsequent ones work correctly!! You have to close the browser, maybe just all the savage circuits pages, then try again, fresh, and get it right the first time, or you are cooked.

That happened to me for the first Chat, (forgot password). Pretty much missed the whole thing.

    Hi hover1.

That one I work on to.
With all usable questions. And all answers CHIP said.

BUT my one will have even addition on some additional questions I have to CHIP and some comments on CHIP's answers

As I think it is some thing I asked that CHIP misunderstand.
    And I need clarification/additional answers

Ravenkallen - you click on the "chatbox full" to enter that chat. At least that's what I did. I saw your name listed in the chatbox.

I joined this chat last night late. My computer must have an issue with AJAX, because it wouldn't refresh the board until I posted.

From the chat - the new Prop II is awesome! I've heard SDRAM controllers, hardware multipliers and even Graphics engines - if I'm not mistaken! :D

    Lots of good info given.

    Thanks guys!

Appreciate the archive being posted up.

Honestly, I think it's pretty hot!!

And I know it's silly, but I'm happy the 8x8 will reside in the ROM!! Guess I'll get cracking on a try at a Parallax work-alike to compliment the existing ROM font!

Having the external RAM, and fast inter-cog comms, with fast HUB fetch is really going to change the game. We are gonna get nice, capable computers out of this, and I for one am stoked. The self-hosting Propeller won't take very long, I imagine. :)

It's gonna be possible to buy a few chips, scrounge, and build up a dev platform, just the way any of us likes it. :)
