Suggestion forSelecting proper accelerometer!!!!

Hi everyone,
I've been working on a senior project which is basicly hand motion remote controlled car and I'm planning to use Memsic2125 2-axis accelerometer. At this point I need your suggestions. As I said, with hand motions I have to obtain 4 basic movements, forward,backward,left and right. So, for these movements is MX2125 2-axis accelerometer proper? Also, I'm planning to use TI MSP430 as microcontroller to process the comming signal and transmit them with the help of RF module.

The WII nunchuck works out of the box, and you have 3 axis accelerometer, a joystick and two buttons, in a fairly decent case (just kidding about the case).
