Prop Tool - why do I get ¥$ instead of $ ???

Hi,
I'm running the Propeller tool (versio 1.27 = latest) on a Windows 7 (64 bit platform).
Every time I hit the dollar key ($) in the editor I get the following TWO symbols ¥$
This is really annoying. What is wrong? I use lots of hexadecimal constants and writing them get slow since every time I have to manually delete this extra ¥ symbol.
Anyone any ideas? The dollar key works perfectly in ALL other programs...
Cheers,
Christian

Win 7 64 bit, Italian (I moved to UK format because we have the comma as a decimal separator, and it makes a mess when importing/ exporting data).
Doing the same with BST works?
Massimo
My windows is UK English and the keyboard layout is FI (Finnish). This is so strange since
I get then neighbour symbols (euro) and £ (pound) correctly by pressing keys 3 and 5 together with Alt-Gr. Hitting key 5 gives me ¥$.
This is - only in Prop Tool! It was the same in the previous version. Anyone at Parallax that could explain what is going on?
Christian,
PS: Leon, nice to stumble here over another Pulsonix user
I've got a couple of Propeller designs that were done with Pulsonix.
As a Brit living in Helsinki using a computer in UK English with a Finnish keyboard you reminded me that I have seen this before.
So, just now, I downloaded a new Prop Tool into Windows XP and I find it still does the same thing.
My solution to this was to give up and use BST under Linux. I had been Windows free since 1997 and was a bit miffed at having to install XP in a Virtual MAchine just for the Prop Tool.
Anyway, I also just tried BST under that XP and it has no problem with $.
By the way, as you are the first Prop user I have heard of in Helsinki we should meet up some time.
So probably I should point my finger at Parallax, hoping for a fix in an upcoming version of the Prop Tool...
So you are in Helsinki, too
Cheers,
Christian
It would be great to meet up, I'll be in touch when work here is not so crazy busy.
