Your recent posts don't show in the "New Posts" link???

I have noticed that when I submit a response on a post and then click on the New Posts link at the top to check and see what else was posted while I was typing, my post never shows up in the search results. At first, I thought it was because my post was going through the server while the search results were getting pulled so it was just a timing thing. But, if I wait a few minutes, my post still won't show up in the New Posts search results. If someone else replies after I do, then the thread will show up.

For example, I just updated my PowerTwig thread at 9:59pm PST, but the New Posts search results skip right over that post, see attached.

Anyone else having their posts not show up in the New Posts results?

It's might still be a timing thing. I seem to remember Jim mentioning that certain server functions are performed periodically, rather than in real time, to lighten the load.

I noticed that too but I assumed that it didn't show up because a post that "you" wrote, didn't meet the criteria of being a "new" post.

There are several processes that run in a batch mode every few minutes that update such things as who is lurking where and performance statistics. I am fairly certain that the "New Post" process does not include any post you may have created.
