BS2 and Serial RFID Reader

Hi All,

In my current project setup I have a Serial RFID reader plugged into the BOE w/BS2. We are trying to read the RFID tags through the VB software posted at

Currently we can not get the software to read the tags once passed by the reader...

I don't think you can have the VB software read the RFID tag through a BOE though, but I could be wrong. Are you trying to have the BOE do somthing after the card is read or the computer do something?

Thanks and the plan is for the BOE to turn a servo once a valid tag is read. I currently can only get part of the tag ID to show in the VB software.

Unless you have a large number of tags you shouldn't need to use the PC, in my opinion.

On the RFID reader product page you can get some demo code that you should be able to modify or extract what you need. There is also a nuts and volts article you could check out.

Example: In this demo code you could replace the latch/lock function with your servo code.
