Hi guys!
Am a linux(ubuntu) user and currently acquired a javelin stamp for my final year computer science project. Unfortunately for me, I haven't been able to find out a way of using the javelin stamp and JIDE on ubuntu.
I would like to know if this is possible and how I can set it up.
Thanks!

There is no IDE for Linux.
However, you can use your prefered IDE, and then push the code manually to the Javelin.
Look at those threads:

With all of that, you might be able to compile, link and push you program into the Javelin under Linux.
Also, FYI, it's possible to run java applicatin on the propeller chip too.
