Default message editor changed

Bha! the default interface for editing messages was changed with the forum upgrade. I've been wondering how to restore the Link, quote, smilies, etc quick buttons for weeks.

I JUST found this the option to change this setting hidden under "User CP">"Edit Options">"Miscellaneous Options" (<- way at the bottom of the page too...) This is extremely well buried for an option users might want to change on a message by message basis. Can this get moved someplace more accessable? Preferably to somplace on the new message editing page?

Have you tried the "Go Advanced" button on the default message editor?

I've attached a screen shot of my editor page. (temporarily switched back to basic text entry) I can see no "go advanced" button anywhere. I'm using the big green "post reply" or "start new thread" buttons to initiate a reply. I've not been using the quick reply function.

Aw, heck, the quick reply function is even screwed up. Can't even type in it untill one of the new little green quick reply buttons in the corner of a post is clicked.

Now if I click "go advanced" while the basic post editor is setup in my user controls... I get the basic post editor.

    BLA!

It also has a ghost in the machine. Sometimes the go advanced option comes up, sometimes it does not. At first I thought it came up only when editing but this is not always the case. Maybe someone is attempting to fix the software and changing things around. I hope the advanced option can be made standard. I hate waiting for two pages to load. Using the new forum is currently an agonizingly slow painful wait and wait to post and edit.

The "Go Advanced" button appears at the bottom of the "Quick Reply" box, which is located under that last post on any page.

The "Go Advanced" button should always appear at the bottom of each thread page. If you're not seeing that, please post a screen shot of the bottom of the page including the last post and the Quick Reply box. We need a few data points to identify the error.
