EBT Module Test

Is there a way to test the EBT module to ensure it is functioning correctly? I get a green light on the EBT and my phone shows it, but when I try to connect using the GUI that comes with the module I get nothing. I just want to make sure it is actually transmitting and receiving like it is suppose to.
