Kindle DX & Parallax PDF files

I just received my Kindle DX the other day, and I REALLY like this device, a lot. The question I have is, would Parallax consider offering some, or most, of the PDF files in a Kindle format? Amazon.com offers a service to convert PDF files to a Kindle format, but I may have some trouble with that, because, the PDF document, like the Propeller Manual, is copyrighted.

Now, the natural question is, "Why isn't a PDF format sufficient?" With the Kindle you can highlight passages, add notes, and then save those things. But, you can only do that with material that is in a Kindle format, and not PDF. I believe this to be a problem with the PDF file, and not the Kindle. The other thing that the Kindle does, is read to you, but it has to be in a Kindle format.

I am willing to share my experience with the Kindle so far, but ask some appropriate questions. Yes, I have the Propeller Manual on my Kindle. Because the letter font size is a little to small for me, I have increased the font size, turned the Kindle to a landscape position, and now I have a very good reading experience.

Thanks
Ray

There's also the fact that the Kindle can 'reflow' the text in their own formats, so that you don't have to scroll ever and forever to read the end of the line if you zoom in to a size that makes the document legible.

Note, I have the 'latest generation' Graphite-coloured model, which has a slightly smaller screen than the DX, but which can display .PDF files without converting them first.
(I believe this is coming to the DX and the other second-generation Kindles, too)

right on. They should support UPUB too. i'm holding off on buying a reader because i'm waiting for things to shake out. Kindle does seem to be the most preferable platforma of now as far as I can tell.
