Help needed!

Are there some ideas how to protect commercial Prop Code ?

With the SX it was easy: Setting the code protection enable bit.

Best Regards

Due to the program contents residing on an external EEPROM there isn't a rock solid method of code protection available that I am aware of. All a competitor need do is either remove the EEPROM and read its contents or decipher the contents as they pass to the Prop during power up.

However, there are physical methods such as using sandpaper to remove EEPROM/Prop markers, epoxy encapsulation of the EEPROM/Prop and epoxying in fine jumper wire(s) that would get destroyed while removing the encapsulation. You could easily make it labor intensive for another engineer to hack your design, so much so that it might be easier for them just to write their own code.

Commercial product designers with volumes over 5-10K could contact me directly for another solution related to code protection.

I'm guessing a Prop die and an xxxROM die in one package? The plot thickens.
