basic stamp stop working on win7

hi,i m unable to open basic stamp after i loaded 2.5 version.i have win7 starter edition and whenever i try to open the program it says basic stamp editor stop working. detail of the error is shown below.Thank you

    We'll try and duplicate the error here. Have you ever tried running a previous version of the editor before? What type of PC set up do you have?

    Have you uninstalled, restarted windows and reinstalled yet? Are you installing as an administrator? Do you get any error messages? Do you get the symptom if you do not have the stamp connected?

    I have found that in both XP and Win 7 to go throgh the process of adding a new shortcut from the desktop and then switching the compatibikity mode to Win 98. This may not solve your problem but is worth a try.

    i have admin account and try to run it as admin but i didnt work.i didnt try earlier versions but i dont suppose it will work.i have asus netbook and the very detailed error explanation is shown below.Hope to fix it soon.

    Has this been resolved?

    I have the same exception error, read address, access violation address and offset on a machine running vista.

    I also hope it can be fixed soon.

    I'm running stamp 2.5 under Windows 7 and it works just fine. Have you uninstalled, restarted windows, downloaded the latest version and reinstalled yet?
