Hello,
you know I made some hardware emulators (sort of) of the QL last year (propeller.wikispaces.org/pPropQL, propeller.wikispaces.org/pPropQL020).
I got a couple of questions about availability and I was also wondering if a respin would be interesting.
What I'm thinking is:
One 68EC020
1 M SRAM (16 bit)
1 Propeller for video, kbd and serial
1 small (small!) FPGA for glue and SD card (just serializer/deserializer) as the propeller not enough pins hat.
1 connector for expansion.
Regulators for 3.3 and 2.5V only, it will need 5V.
The board would be 100x80 mm in size.
The point as always is... software, hardware is easy

It would be a great idea continuing the project, there are many Sinclair QL users, including myself, waiting for a compatible board.
Yes, the software is more difficult, fortunately there are a lot of source code that may be usefull (like Minerva ROM, and the SMS OS Q/E).
I think a respin would be a really interesting project.
I make some QL add-ons, and I am very excited about your QL-inspired board. I imagine we have a lot to talk about.
Do you have any updates?
