Stepper Motors and PDB.

Hey guys, I'm having major problems understanding the electric design given in the stampworks manual on how to connect the steppers to the PDB, any help? (actual circuit)

Also has anyone used Vex Motor Modules with basic stamp?

This is the Vex Motor Module (Servo) I was wondering has anyone has used this with the basic stamp? (They are much more powerful than standard parallax servos). And I simply don't know how to connect a stepper to the PDB.

Are you sure that they are steppers?

With just two wires it looks to be just a motor/gearbox.
