Figure 9-5 traces do not match the setup in figure 9-4. In figure 9-4 Channel 1 is the variable voltage out of the POT and channel 2 is the output of the op amp. Figure 9-5 channel 1 is the output of the op amp and channel 2 is the output of the POT.

Hello djc,

Thank you for the report. I'll redo the drawings in Activity #1 and #2 so that the CH2 probe monitors the input signal and CH1 looks at the output. Screen captures and some text will also need updating.

Although most of the corrections will be incorporated all at once, this one should get done sooner along with a schematic and wiring diagram correction in Chapter 2. I'll post both updates early next week.
