Equivalent Parallel Resistance

How can I go about finding out what the EPR of a capacitor is. Most manufacturers don't list that in their datasheet. I am mostly concerned with ceramic capacitors but info about electrolytic and tantalum would also be helpful. I know C0G capacitors have low EPR compared to X7R, and the lower class 2 dielectrics are worse than those.

Here is what I am looking for at this moment. Would a C0G (say 0.1µF) which has low EPR hold a charge longer than a 10µF X7R? And how would that compare to a tantalum or electrolytic of similar size?

All I care about is DC charge (not EPR at a frequency).

I suspect that a good oscilloscope would provide you with the best answers. Figuring from theory may never reflect the reality as capacitors are notorious for wide variances in individual parts.

In other words, context is everything.
