@Jessica - you would have to do some adapting. The 7.2 volt motor and wheel kit motors have a shaft extending from each end of the motor. The inside (non whell side) shaft is made for an encoder. I think you could make an adapter for the toothed plastic wheel used on the Position Controller kit. This toothed plastic wheel is designed to work with the 12 Volt motor and wheel kit.
Encoders are planned for the Stingray (which uses the 7.2 volt motors and wheels). That encoder should work on the motors without an adapter - but it is not avaliable yet.
