LVDS query

Hi,
Has anybody worked with this? Apparently the EEEpc transmits the digital to the VGA through a 20 wire cable that uses LVDS (low voltage differential serial). It certainly is new to me, but it has high speed and can handle bandwidth -- maybe optimal for the Propeller.

    Loopy Byteloose,

Hey!, that's one of the IC's I put together !!

The connections should be pretty straight forward looking at the datasheet. The benefit of using a differential drive is that you are less susceptible to external interference due to common mode signal rejection making for higher speed capabilities than if you were to simple use a straight wire.

It looks as though I was a bit confused about the nature of LVDS. It seems to be RS-422 type of serial. I just happend to find it in the context of providing video data to the LCD screen on the EEEpc and further mention of it being used to connect LCD screens to CPUs.
