Hi,

I've got a question regarding the MOS6581. The MOS6581 (Commodore SID)
is the Sound Interface used in the Commodore C64 etc.

It requires a 1MHz clock signal on PIN

The 1MHz signal can easily be generated by a counter in NCO or PLL mode.
(Actually it should be 0.985248 Mhz for PAL and 1.022727 Mhz for NTSC)

Interfacing a real SID chip to the propeller has been on my ToDo list ever since I started the SIDcog project. Too bad I don't have very much time at the moment.
I'm looking forward to see how this project turns out. :)

    /Johannes

Keep us posted on this project. I have 8 or 9 spare SID chips that are just hanging in my room, I would LOVE to make a synth out of them using a propeller. That would be amazing.

Just remember you need to supply Vdd = 12V in addition to Vcc = 5V.
