Where can I get cheapest 1 off board? Or do 20 people need a rotating board?

I have a PCB design for a for fun project. it is 2x2" with a 1" hole in the middle. Minimum trace size is 10mil, minimum spacing is 7mil but I can increase those specs if needed. Any suggestions where the cheapest I can get 1 or 2 boards made? Or does anyone here have the ability to make it?

I do need a solder mask or some kind of barrier as there will be 6 spring loaded pins touching the back of the board and they can't wander off there tracks.

Simulation did not work on back of board.

My minimum order from my normal suppliers is 35 boards so if at least 20 people want boards I could sell them for $10 each.

Assuming you could drill the 1" hole manually (just have a starter hole for center from the PCB manufacturer)...

Batchpcb is hard to beat for small qtys (US$10ea for 4 square inch)

SilverCircuits.com would do 24 of these for US$84

If you could do without the solder resist, Futurlec.com would do 2 for US$30 + $6 postage (might need 10/10mil track/space, 0.6mm via holes)

TX Marsh that looks like a great service. I sent them an email and hopefully they can make my board with the 1" hole. If so I have a few other small run boards for them.

I could do it at work on the LPKF, but no solder mask or plated thru holes. But the price is right.

I don't see how solder mask is going to keep the pogo's from wandering off the tracks ???

thanks been but I went with txmarsh sugestion. $20 + $15 shipping got me 3 boards with solder mask.

I will get them to make 2 more small boards so the shipping cost per design will be only $5. Great deal for prototypes. I am sure it is not rohs cmpliant so no good for production runs.

@txmarsh: That dorkbotpdx link is quite interesting, lots of useful info and good mojo there. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah agreed that dorkbotpdx is an excellent service with great specs. I'll certainly give it a try for the next run on Sept 6.

From the posts there it sounds like they really need more volume to make it an ongoing success. I'm surprised therefore that they don't spread the news in forums like this. txmarsh it would be worth doing a new thread in the sandbox to bring attention to it...

I asked. they use lead free finish so the boards can be used for production as well as protoypes.
