USB Datalogger as HID???

Hi, I was reading the old "completed projects" fourm and found this: http://forums.parallaxinc.com/forums/default.aspx?f=21&m=416258 It says how the USB Datalogger modulue (of course from parallax) can be used for a HID device (in that case a gamepad) i was wondering would this be more or less universal? and would this mean that gamepads and even USB mice and keyboards could be used with the prop? (or BS2)

    It would be a good start to read the Vinculum manual, also read the several firmaware manuals. There are sections that discuss the Vinculum communicating with other FTDI devices, so you may be able to build HID's with the Vinculum talking to for example an FT232 that is connected. The discussions seems to be limited to other FTDI devices, not as universal. Google Vinculum manual, FTDI manual or go to ftdichip.com
