The new search engine is absolutely amazing. It pulls up everything I want every time.

Use this thread to list the new things you like about the new Forums.

The new inline attachments are now working perfect. It uses the same nomenclature as the old Forum so it's a perfect transition.

    * Private messages are now working perfect. Just click the name by the avatar to begin.

    * Also Login and Logout are working perfect if you know the correct password and email address.

    * Remember Login name and password are working perfect with FireFox.

    * Posting VGA formatted photos works perfect.

    * Posting URLs are even more simple. Just type the URL. No need for any formatting lingo.

    * The imposed limit of only 15 linked URLs is no longer! This is a great improvement for lists with lots of urls.

    * you can post an attachment to a private message using Potatohead's approach:

If you go to your user control panel "user CP", there is a place to manage your attachments. From what I can tell, there is no direct upload facility. So, what you can do is post up a test post in the test forum, then attach something there. Get the link for it, from either the post, or the manage attachments page, and paste it into your PM. The other user should be able to click that link to fetch that attachment. Optionally, you can delete the test post once the upload has happened. The old forum would leave the attachments on post delete. I've not tried this with the new one yet. I suspect this solution will work just fine for the occasional attachment needed in a PM. It's a lot of clicks, but still a nice time savings over the usual, FTP, e-mail, file depot game.

You get a new organization of private messages, grouped into dates which is very cool and easy to use. It's more easy to edit, see, and keep track of PMs.
