Dear Friends;
First I want to introduce myself to you
I am very far to robotics and also to electronics as well.:confused:
I want to take a video of auctioned second hand cars.
I want to make a track on the ceiling 5 x 3 meters with 90 degree radius turn on the corner.
The robot will carry a camera,running on the ceeling track , about less than a kg.,supposed to make one complete turn in 1 minute.
My wish is very simple
1-remote controlled start button
2-automatic stop after completed the track , 1 full turn.
Custom made solutions are well-come

Attached is the sample for the track (curtain track radius turn)

    That sounds like a neat project. The curtain track is interesting, but I'm not sure it'll work very well. I'm mainly concerned about the mounting features either end of the track.... I'm not sure how you'll get past those.

    You might consider EMT (electrical conduit) because it's cheap, you can bend it in a nice radius and it's commonly available. PVC pipe might work well too as long as the bot's weight is a minimum.

    There was a similar project being planned by "Scope" here in the forums. He had a lot of good suggestions provided in the discussion. Maybe that would help.

    That is a very nice project. I think you may need to join several pieces of curtain track to do this since the longest sections I have seen are 12 feet (~4 meters?). If the joints are in the center of the straight sections that should not be a problem. You will probably need to use small bearings instead of the plastic rollers. Getting power to the camera and drive motor will be a little tricky but doable. If you decide to go that route I will make a few suggestions.
