IR Remote Help

Hi,

I have been wanting to make an IR Remote for some time. I only know the basics of IR Remotes, the Microcontroller sends binary to the led and the tv picks up the commands, only if they are correct. I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a remote with the basic stamp 2.
