I am leaving this post at 8:25 PM Central Daylight Time.

On edit: I realize Parallax is in California, but I was under the impression you guys are like two hours behind us, not 5 hours ahead?

On editty-edit: OK if it's supposed to be GMT maybe it should say so?

We are keeping the server clocks at GMT to avoid the Daylight Savings Time weirdness in our system log files.

You can set your time zone in the User CP, so the site renders the correct time for the time zone you are in.

OK that's a good reason but I really think the time display for posts should include the zone then, since it's a user variable thing that might not be what you think it is. I participate in several other forums that use PST/PDT so I'm used to the times being weird but it took me by surprise to see 1 AM Today when that should have been like 19 hours ago.

The 1 AM time in the display will get normalized to your local time when you set the timezone in your control panel. The times displayed when I look at them are correct for the Left Coast of the US.
