Why the new forum fails me.

Hi, I am trying to be polite about this and not just bash the format.

But, when I want to go to the Parallax store or look for a Propeller object, it seems that there is no longer a link to do so.

Why is that? Wisdom or omission?

It could be they have not had time to do that yet...

I know when I have done projects like this before, I put forth a massive amount of time and energy just getting the thing basically working, then am exhausted and need a bit of rest.

Then over the next couple of weeks, I would work on priorities - on things which are most important first.

Just like writing a program for a Propeller or Stamp. It takes time to add this feature or that feature. Can't do everything at once.

I worked 8 months developing one web site I worked on. That was integrating products with a database, cgi scripts, etc. Lots of work!

    Another oddity that is frustrating.
I can't look at an attachment and read the thread at the same time.

Are we trying to cut back on bandwidth for economic reasons?

In this mode it is hard to make comments on some one's schematic as you have to do a screenshot and save the image for reference or rely completely on memory of what you saw.

If you're using windows or linux then using the middle mouse button (pushing the scroll wheel) will open the link in a new tab. If you're using a laptop with only two buttons usually pushing both of them works. If all else fails, right click the link and select the window option you want.

When I started up Parallax Forums today, my Firefox mentioned that I have 'popups blocked'. I have to look into that.

I will try clicking the middle button/wheel on my mouse. I forgot it was there.

On a Windows box, pressing the Ctrl key and clicking a link also opens a new tab. For those of you without middle buttons, or like me, didn't realize they did anything but scroll. :)

The reality is that I can just do my own bookmark in my browser and I don't need a link in the Forums.

Stupid me. I guess the Forums haven't failed me, I just failed to think.

It is that old adage from IBM.

    Think....
    Think.....
    Think......
