The old forum was excellent. If one uploaded a screen capture, which I used to do ALL the time, one got a thumb nail clickable link, with the download metrics on it.
Now I get this: 01_31_2010_18_13_40.jpg:
Your file of 365.3 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 97.7 KB for this filetype.
I do video stuff all the time. I won't resize captures. It's not worth doing, because it looks like Smile, and the subtle details often matter, and are generally lost at the current limits.
If I can't share captures, video isn't any fun anymore.
Please add this to the list of things to be worked on. The average size for a JPEG NTSC video capture runs somewhere under 400K. The current limit does not allow for enough pixels or detail to actually be useful.
I shrank one, to fit under the pixel size, and it came out quite small! Well, most of the signal detail is lost. One cannot tell where the pixels really are, just the shapes of things. There are considerable artifacts, and of course, one can't simply attach one frame of standard propeller video here. That seems broken to me.
Secondly, we all often post work setup photos for trouble shooting. Those are not going to be viable under the current limits either. If it's a matter of space and cost, let's start a fund, rather than break the communication. I've been struck at how well and frequently we communicated here. The loss is profound.
Why are there max pixel sizes anyway? Are we afraid of somebody in-lining a wide image? Used to happen all the time, and we were just fine. I sure enjoyed looking at other people's setups.
Thanks!!

My Screen Capture pic's can be up to 600KB-jpg
Probably. That size is not unreasonable, depending on color and detail present.
I've a few approaching that size, for sure.
NO.
It is VGA 1920x1080
It was how I documented all my work here .
