Full Color LED PROBLEM

I picked up a full color LED at Radio Shack ( part # 276-0028 ) just to play around with. There was no pin outs or info on the package so I took it as the longest lead was a common cathode. I found some info on similar LEDS and apparently this is a common anode instead. If I connect the long lead to the + side of the power supply and the other three to say lines 1,2,3 of a the BS2 will the LED shine white when the BS2 is powered up since all lines are LOW on power up. This is no big deal if I set the line high first thing, or I could use an inverter circuit ( which I'd just as soon not do to keep it simple. I am only interested in a red, blue, green display, no mixed colors needing PWM at this time.
If anyone has a lead where I can find the pin outs or some simple example circuits for this part please let me know.......Thanks Dave

This is a time when a simple 300 ohm resistor and power can solve all your questions. Experiment.

Thanks, Franklin. I've got it going on the BS2 just fine now
