Customizing appearance of the forum

A couple things I really like about the old forum is the background shading and the smaller text. I have not found how to customize this forum to my liking.

I prefer to have as much information on the screen as possible without having to scroll.

How can I make this forum appear more like the old one?

    Is there a way to turn off these pop ups?

    I tend to follow what I read with the cursor and it is quite annoying when these pop ups block the text.

    I have to agree with Rich about the shading and smaller text. With the new format I can't get as much on the screen.

    I agree. The color scheme is ugly, and it is much more difficult to see which posts you have read and which ones you haven't. Also, the "sticky" threads no longer stand out so much, and you need a bigger screen to read most posts easily.

    However, I trust these are all minor things can be modified once the actual content has been migrated.
