Okay, okay. I had to play with an Arduino, just doing some basic things on it. So after learning some about it i decided to try and interface it to a I2C EEPROM. I tried everything and it didn't work, so i went to the Forum for help(Bad idea). Not only did practically nobody even answer, but i got called a Twit for not knowing more about C++/ and the Arduino(And it is not over yet)....I just wanted to say, THANK YOU Parallax for having a good forum, good products and the best help anybody could ask for...AND thank you to the many forum members, who have answered my questions without resorting to name calling. This is why Parallax is still on top

I'm also baffled by how courteous most people are. Aside from joking around once in a while, people here tend to treat each other with patience and respect. It seems to be a very rare phenomenon on the internet, but I'm sure glad it's here.
Welcome to the community.. You should plan to attend a UPE so you can meet these people in person. :)

I don't agree with the person that called you a twit. I do think that perhaps you were being a bit trollish...
Perhaps you should re-read your posts in the thermite thread...

I really don't want intelligent kids who are inspired to make really cool things lose interest in technology simply because they burned themselves or their sister beyond all recognition. Many experienced people on that thread gave the kid lots of good advice, which he simply refused to accept. We explained to him many reasons why his "plan" wouldn't work and encouraged him to learn more about the processes involved, or to move on to other things. When that didn't work, I tried a different tactic and summoned the Oxygen Fairy. Ya'think it made him think a little?
@Kevin Wood.... What the heck do you mean by re-reading my posts on the thermite thread? Trollish?
@Leon....AH thanks, what a pal.... I have read over some of the Arduino documentation, but not enough to know the lack of a setup and loop function would make the program fail.... He could just tell me that it wouldn't work and he didn't need to get all upset about it. AND i don't think that you would resort to name calling(which solves nothing)

There was a smiley after it... That was about the gentlest elbow in the ribs you can get.

Ravenkallen,
About the thermite thread, I think Kevin was talking to me. He put my quote in a quote box and then commented below it. No worries.
@Electricaye....Whoops, my bad. I thought he was talking to me.

FWIW, the person that called you a twit answered your final post in a somewhat conciliatory manner. So you now have an opportunity to gain back your Arduino forum creds, should you choose to do so.
