Supply voltage for #27982 433Mhz Transceiver modules

According to the datasheet the #27982 433Mhz transceiver modules can run from a 3.3V to 5V supply. Is there any advantage to running them at 5V vs 3.3V? Just curious if the range may be better when using the modules at 5V. If no one has done has done a comparison yet it may be worth performing some range testing at both voltages to see if there is a difference.

This module uses the TRM-433-LT. If you lookup the datasheet you will notice that its supply voltage is 3.3V. The Parallax board I am sure has a regulator which allows you to supply anywhere between 3.3V and 5V, but the TRM module will only see 3.3V. You can go ahead with the testing, but I would not expect to see any difference in range.

You can find the TRM information @ http://www.linxtechnologies.com/Documents/TRM-xxx-LT_Data_Guide.pdf
