Generating text/video through the PROP using Prop Basic

Hello all! I am using the Prop Basic Editor to program my PROP. I have a question that I know someone out there can answer. How do you generate text to overlay on top of a video source but using the Basic Sntax? I have the hardware all hooked up per the PROP manual for the video in / out using the RCA jack, and three pins with the proper resistor ratings. Any help would be much appreciated. ( not too many laughs from the forum due to me using the PROP Basic Editor : )· )

No laughs from me. The Prop is so versatile and anything that is easy is the best way to start. You can progress to other things as your needs change. It is much better to use something you are familiar with to see what it can do.
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with your question, but I am certain you will have your answer shortly as this is an extremely active forum with huge number of helpful people.

You need more than that to do video overlay.
What you have will generate a video signal, but to overlay video you need to sense the sync pulses from the incoming video signal.
I think the Prop Backpack will do it. http://www.parallax.com/StoreSearchResults/tabid/768/txtSearch/backpack/List/0/SortField/4/ProductID/602/Default.aspx

Use BASIC on the Propeller with the speed of assembly language.
