    Try a different cable.

Have you installed the FTDI driver and powered the board (including turning switch on board on)?

Make sure to connect it to the power source.
Propeller does not get power from USB cable. The PC will recognize it and LEDs will flash, but you won't be able to connect to it if it is not powered properly.
I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why mine is not working, had to look at the schematics to find out that USB power is not connected to the propeller.

I also learned that not all power adapters work well. I have a 6V adapter that works perfectly with the Basic Stamp board, but the Propeller fails to start properly 50% of the time with it. I had to get a different 9V adapter for the propeller.

    That should be OK.

9.6V should be OK, but check the polarity of the plug. The few that I had in the closet all had the polarity reversed.

I mean, the green light turns on and the blue and pink ones do to (when i plug it into the computer) so the power should be good right?
