Hey there,

I see that Jon Williams posted a new object for the Smart Card reader and cards.

The object:

obex.parallax.com/objects/649

The Smart Card Reader:

www.parallax.com/StoreSearchResults/tabid/768/List/0/SortField/4/ProductID/690/Default.aspx?txtSearch=smart+card+reader

This appears to be a really useful object that allows you to easily write/read bytes, words, longs and arrays (up to 16 bytes for the 2K card) and strings of any length.

A demo is included.

Thanks, Jon!

Ken, are you sure that it wasn't Jon McPhalen that posted the card reader program?

Jon McPhalen is the actor formerly known as Jon Williams!

Yes, I lead a dual life: My driver's license says "Jon Williams," my SAG card says "Jon McPhalen." Blame the Star Wars composer for my wacky duality....

Oh wow! I guess a newby ought to listen a lot more before he speaks. This is quite a talented Company including their forums from top educators, engineers, and apparently actors, to newbies like myself that need to listen for awhile before speaking. I have seen most of your excellent Parallax presentations Jon. Thank you, while I shrink out of site for awhile.

post scriptum: However, I thought Chip and Ken were one in the same until I asked. Oh well, I like Parallax and everyone associated with them.
