Is that a Propeller "object", or something else?

@Leon, I think he's leaving it open for interpretation. It's a very general question - could be a Propeller object, a project, or nearly anything.

I'm hoping the line scan camera will be my favorite, as the free shipping weekend finally lured me into buying it. My first project will be to try and read some bar codes. My wife says I'm such a nerd.

My fave would be tv_text, with fullduplexserial neck-and-neck for the finish. Of course we have and need variants, but these core things provided by Parallax are almost like hardware extensions until you start to mod them.

    OK, for inanimate objects:

    #1 FullDuplexSerial

    #2 BS2 Functions

    #3 GPS Float Demo

Should I stop at 3? There are 20 more.

#1 The Propeller, of course - video, mouse, and keyboard interfaces with room left over - the competition has yet figured out how to respond as it is so very different. Why not just accept it and include a great interface with a good AVR product (like the ZBasic series)? One day, there will be AVR project boards with Propeller driven interface - everyone will benefit.

#2 SXes and Peter VDZee's RTO example - shows that deterministic computing is best on these chips - not big systems. Gunter made this the classic way to learn assembly language without getting into nasty older architectures.

#3 The Penguin robot - it took a long time and huge effort to get it right, but Parallax refused to have it be anything less than perfect.
