Are there any differences in the electronics between the Board of Ed. and the Homework board?

Yes. There are 220 Ohm resistors in series with each of the I/O pins on the Homework Board to help protect them from abuse and the Board of Education has a different voltage regulator and a heatsink so the power supply has a 1 to 1.5A capacity.

The Board of Education also has special connectors for servos or similar 3-wire devices. The equivalent can be set up on the Homework Board's breadboard area, but they're ready-to-go on the BOE.

And the BS2 is hard-wired into the homework board, where it's a socketed module on the BOE -- which lets you upgrade to faster BS2 flavors if you need to.

It seems that code runs slightly different on the two boards.........

The biggest difference is the amount of power available -- a 9-volt battery maxes out at about 100 mA, which is WAY too little for a Servo, so you're much more likely to 'brown-out-reset' on the homework board than the BOE.

Is that the symptom you're getting? "they run slightly different" is a pretty vague description.

AH! Yes, that's what is happening!

I'm seeing a reset on the homework board that doesn't happen on the BOE.
    It's giving me the jitters"..........

    "jitters" -- funny, good one.
