Website Problems?

I noticed some abnormally slow response times from the forms and the other day it looked like the primary domain controller got knocked offline (or someone erased the A record) as www.parallax.com wouldn't resolve. Just wondering if you guys are going through an upgrade or if it's just normal ghosts in the machine.

The site was offline on the 15th for about 15 minutes for server maintenance. The last incident occurred at about midnight on the 19th when a router within XO's network decided to stop participating in the network. That lasted about 1.25 hours. We did upgrade the database server a few weeks ago, with excellent results. If you can, please post back with dates and times for these issues and I'll be glad to track them down.

It was the incident on the 19th that I was specifically referring too. The router going down makes sense. I worked for a company that ran it's business off Yahoo stores (the third largest business on yahoo stores in fact - yahoo gave them special attention) and their routers would go south all the time. Last year in fact, on black friday no less, they went south for about 4 hours. That was really fun - especially if you work in IT roll.gif.

Not trying to be critical or anything, just wondering if perhaps you guys are upgrading gear or something. There was also some talk about updating the forums. Thanks for the great forums! yeah.gif

I'm sure XO was aware of the issue because their support lines were jammed. Certainly an unusual situation for the late hour.
