Need help finding some suitable video software

I have started a blog for people wanting to learn assembly
language programming. I want to put up some educational
videos and need some software.

I need something (preferably freeware) that
can record a video of what is happening on the computer screen
and record me talking at the same time. I have an artists touch
pad that you draw on with a stylus and it would be nice if the software
allowed me to draw and write on the screen with it so I can highlight
stuff and make the videos clearer.

Does anyone here know of some software I could get that would allow me to do this?

    Try CamStudio

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of Lotus or Camtasia, but it works for basic stuff.

Another good free one is www.screentoaster.com/

And also Capture Fox, a firefox add on that can capture stuff not just in the browser but any software on your computer. Also record your voice as an avi.

    HollyMinkowski,

If you are running VMWare, it has a screen capturing capability and it's supposed to do audio also but I haven't used the audio feature. Default format is an avi, but you can change it to an mpeg or other format.
