Hagisonic StarGazer for human location tracking

Hi all,

I am thinking of using the Hagisonic StarGazer for tracking humans instead of robots.

One question I have is what is the maximum speed at which the tracking module can move for it to maintain tracking its location. Can anyone tell me, based on your experience?

Best Regards,
Andrew

That is a good idea Franklin, and I have done that.

Anyway, Hagisonic have replied to my e-mail and their answer is that the StarGazer can cover a speed of up to about 15 m/s.

With regards to using the system on a human, they recommend against it because the sensor has to remain parallel to the ceiling to within about 3 degrees. Any tilting beyond that and the readings will have errors.

Well, thanks for everyone's attention, looks like I have more thinking to do. I appreciate any more suggestions though!
