    erco, thanks for pointing this board out to me. There's no reason we can't sell them for $4.99, so I will see that the price is lowered. These are still excellent project boards for many uses!

    I'm Sitting here with my credit card in one hand and the mouse in the other, waiting for the 45300 (sx48 proto board) to go on sale - those things make the greatest propeller accessory driver boards!

    No guys, it's not a joke! I promise that by Wednesday all remaining stock of SX Proto Boards will be available for $5 or less. Simple as that.

    I've been covering some marketing activities while Lauren is on leave and I'm just not too efficient. Two more days please!

    Martin, you guys are right about this being a value. If you already have the programming tools and you're only making a few projects these boards are still ideal!

    If you're going to design a product around the SX I'd steer you another way, but I see no reason not to use these boards in projects if you already know the SX.

    I have at least 500 in stock, so they'll be around for a while even at $5 or less.

    I can't figure this out. They are all still listed at $14.95. Just maybe you should try to place and order and see what the total comes too.
    Ken did ask for two days to get this done. Keep watching as I suspect that they are going to disappear quite fast. And I fear at that point Ken will discontinue the SX chips altogether and keep the inventory for BasicStamp production.

    I am check the price of these boards everyday now.

    Parallax certainly buried these in their maze of a website - no wonder they aren't selling quickly. In fact, one has to work just to find out anything about an SX product.

    This may be the last of the SX project boards. I ordered 8 more today and the new Propeller books.

    I did an inventory and found I have 5 of the SX52 boards on hand, along with a few SX48s and 5 or so of the SX28s. Do I have enough?
    I doubt it. I have learned that using these boards is a lot nicer than bothering with DIPs and your own board. At these prices, you easily save both time and money.

    @Martin. Deserve a vacation? Working for Parallax is a bit of a vacation for me. . . but that's still very thoughtful of you.

    Right now, though, I'm covering for a whole bunch of people who are either preparing or gone on leave. Every ten years of employment earns our staff a month off for their "sabbatical". And the managers with whom I work the most are all hitting their ten year mark. Jim Carey, Sales Manager, will be off the month of September. And then it's Production Manager. And the whole time they're out Lauren is gone on maternity leave. If you ever want to appreciate a co-worker just cover their job for a month or more.

    @Bill, nice to see you back in action.

    I just ordered (5) SX-48 proto boards, (5) 20 MHz resonators and a 12vdc wall transformer.

    Don't forget the accessories like the resonators and power.
