TQFP64 socket?

Hi-
I've been asked to write a guide with parts listing for a summer student who will be prototyping with one of our designs. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the student's skill level or the correctness of the design (which involves a TQFP-64 microcontroller). I've found cheap breakout boards for them, but if we blow them up, we loose the breakout board as well. Depending on how often in happens, it might be worth looking for a socket, but I haven't been able to come across anything reasonably priced. Does anyone have an idea as to what a good TQFP64 socket is that either breaks out 0.1" headers or I can mount on a breakout board ?
Thanks
Rafael

Yamaichi makes very reliable, very rugged clam shell sockets for burn-in and ATE applications. They are not cheap.· A 64 TQFP is about $100.
Yamaichi IC51 series socket:
