Parallax Shipping!!!

I am meaning no offence to parallax but what is with their shipping!?!? I bought a 7.5 V wall wart, a micro dual serial motor controller (it's only a inch big) and a Prop Demo board and i was charged $17.16 for shipping!!! That is almost as much as the micro dual serial motor controller was! I really admire parallax but if their shipping is goning to be $20 for less than 1 pound than i am really going to consider being a further customer! (besides for bare prop chips and the regulators + cystals) I know this place is in california but my order could have been shipped in the mail for $5. I really am not sure about getting the stingray! They need differnt shipping methods!! Parallax Commets Welcomed!

You didn't choose USPS! I just ordered two of the DotDs and shipping was only $.57! I bet you picked UPS without realizing it.

Same here. Parallax practically subsidizes my USPS purchases. Only once have I paid more than $1 for shipping. And I get Saturday delivery.

But I agree with you: FedEx and UPS are highway robbery. I pay less for shipping when I order from China!

Yep, you have to select USPS. I wish Parallax made it a little more apparent on checkout.

And Saturday delivery when you do Priority Mail!

Ouch! Tell me you just placed this order today and it can be adjusted???

If so, contact Jim Carey in sales and I'm positive he can straighten this out before it hits the door!

No, that would be Jim Carrey.

And, also, it's not Gym Caries, which is the tooth decay you get from working out too much -- just in case anyone wondered.

Did you call Parallax customer service to ask about your shipping charge?

About 5 weeks ago, I placed an order that was shipped via USPS.

When I received my order, I noticed I was charged $16.51 for the smallest size flat rate USPS box instead of $4.98

I called Parallax customer service, they checked into the problem, and promptly refunded $11.53 to my account.

If you don't contact customer service, they don't know you have a problem, so they can't help you.

I hope you get everything straightened out to your satisfaction.

    Regards,

    zappman

After you select USPS be sure to change to First Class if it is a small item or items, I didn't notice and paid for Priority Mail when I ordered a Propeller Backpack the other day. Why is the default shipping the most expensive shipping?
