Hi all,

I thought I stumbled upon a similar thread but cant seem to find it again using the search. I have the Propeller Starter Kit and a Windows 7 64 bit system and a Vista 32 bit system. I have downloaded the Propeller Tool v1.2.7(r2) . After downloading the Propeller Tool and I plug the device using the USB cable into the computer the board flashes red and blue and windows automatically downloads some drivers. When I try find the board using the Propeller Tool a message pops up saying 'No propeller chip found on any serial port' hmm I dont know what to do any suggestions? I have tried the following:
Going into the advanced setting of the USB Serial Port (COM9), changing the Latency Timer from 16 to 1 msecs and I have also tried changing the bits per second to 9600. And lastly I've tried setting the Serial Port Search to be COM9 from AUTO. All these I've seen from a different thread but I still have no luck. I've reset what ive changed to what it was. Does any one have any ideas because I'm really out of ideas?

Cheers

Have you confirmed the Propeller board is getting power OK?

I know the LEDs on the usb port on the board light up when I plug the board into my laptop so power must be going to it

Also when I press F10 with the propeller tool a blue LED light flashes, this I take it is a bit hopeful
