Prop Plug

What does it mean when your prop plug does not flash more then once when you plug it in?

I've checked the battery and the USB line.

I have a Propeller Education Kit, and I'm running Windows 7.

I do not see anything listed in my devise manager for the prop plug.

The indicator lights only flash once when it is plugged in.

Thank you.

I think you are asking for help troubleshooting a prop plug. If that is the case you need to be powering the prop plug with 5V for it to work properly.

Sometimes they flash once, sometimes multiple times. I don't think that it means anything.

Did you install the software first? (the USB Driver Installer, per the Prop Plug documentation?)

If you're not seeing the Prop Plug as a USB port, that's a fairly likely culprit.

Ok, it is working now. For some reason, on the 52nd time i plugged the USB cord into the USB hub, my computer said "hey, there is a new usb device here, let's install the software". And everything worked. A simple blinky program is running now.

    thanks for your advice.

The Prop Plugs are very fragile and break easily, you might want to get a backup.
