No usable serial ports found

I have a homeworkboard and a Board of Education.· They are both working OK.· I just purchased another BoE and it tells me "No usable serial port found."· I am not connecting to more than one at a time.· I connect to the homework board with a usb to serial adapter and it is using Com2.· I connect to the old BoE and it is using Com13.· I connect to the new BoE and get the error message.· What am I doing wrong?

I just talked to tech support and it is all good now

    Check device manager to see what com port is assigned when you plug in the cable. If you plug it in to the computer it should pick up the same port if you plug it into the same usb port. Let us know.
