Anyone create an I2S object for the Prop?

I2S - Inter-IC Sound http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%C2%B2S
Spec: www.nxp.com/acrobat_download2/various/I2SBUS.pdf

This could have some fun applications. I glanced at the spec, bit timing is very important, but I was unsure how exacting we can be with the Prop clocks to generate the exact timing needed. This is something I will look into after I get Spinneret much further along.

I've had some thoughts about using the prop in conjunction with products from this company - http://www.minidsp.com/products. They have a DSP board, digital (toslink, coaxial s/pdif) board, and amplifier board, all that use I2S as an interconnect between them.

In particular I've always wanted to build some kind of all digital light organ (or some kind of other visualization). I haven't looked into the toslink spec to see if it'd be possible to decode raw toslink s/pdif digital audio on the prop, or if it'd be smarter to use something like the minidigi board to convert the s/pdif into I2S, and deal with the I2S on the prop. I think these particular boards do two 16-bit channels at 48 K samples per second. It's another one of those projects far out on the horizon that I'll probably never get to...

Now that you mention it, I recall another post on the forum from someone who was able to generate s/pdif data or read s/pdif data on the Prop.

The products on minidsp look cool.
