That's a nice group of photos! I particularly like your choice of image servers, too, since the photos load so fast.

Those pictures are amazing! Thank you for posting them!
Edit: I don't know who this is, but can you image what his world will be like when he gets to our age?!
I had a Radio Shack 101 kit, and he's sitting in front of a PPDB considering what to build.

I use a Nikon D70s and D200. The only lenses I used were either the 10.5mm fisheye (sorry, it's not cheap) or the 18 - 70 zoom.

The black and dark gray background is a pleasant effect. Seems to make the thumbnails stand out better. Lots of really good shots.

They're almost all labelled as "OS&Y" number such-and-such.
One day I got curious what that meant, looked it up and found it means "outside screw and yoke".
(If you look closely at the red parts, you can see how the red gate valves have a vertical threaded shaft supported by an oouter framework; hence the name.)
Seems like an unimaginative way to name an apparatus, but I guess that's how engineers think.
That center stem on OS&Y gate valves is up when the valve is open and down when it is closed. OS&Y gates are used a lot on fire systems because you can easily verify if they are open or closed.
