Hey Roy,

You're very welcome. It was great to meet so many people from the forum and hear about their projects. Showing your work at UPEW is much easier than showing it to a group of kids - everybody at UPEW seems to understand how a project could be improved and they're willing to share ideas.

This event was the best UPE ever. Between the variety of projects, the exceptional presentations and the collaboration I'm feeling both rewarded and totally exhausted. Friday night went until midnight. Saturday morning started at 6 am and ran until 3 am. Today started up at 7 am. And tomorrow a whole new process of year-end cleanup, inventory and finalizing machine setups occurs at Parallax. Oh, and a few interviews are scheduled between a few visits from suppliers. I'm not sure I'm willing to press the FF button on life, but I'm actually looking forward to Friday :)

Roy,

I would like to join you in expressing thanks in particular to Jeff Ledger and his "staff" for taking on the immense task of organizing the UPEW event and to the Parallax principals and their staff for their extreme generosity in hosting the event. Again, as last year, it was a very thrilling event.

My sincere, heartfelt appreciation.

Cheers,

Peter (pjv)

Ditto Roy. Thanks to everyone for making that happen, I was truly amazed. That was my first UPEW, and i absolutely cannot wait for the next one. And next time, count me in for the all-nighter.

Another excellent Expo! Thanks to all who made it happen. Special thanks to Mrs. OBC and the other unsung heroes working behind the scenes.

Johnnycarlos, you were there? I didn't see Cylon Barbie.

Hi Michael, yup I was there! I didn't bring any projects. I wasn't sure what to expect... I'm positive I will have some cool stuff next time. I had a blast and learned a lot by looking at everyone else's stuff.

Congrats to all involved in making such a great event, and also organising the live stream, great addition to allow us folks who couldn't make it, to be able to watch also.
I look forward to the day, I can make it over to the show in person :)

My Prop hat off to all that made the UPEW possible, many thanks. It was great to meet all you there that I see on the forums, and finally meet you in person. I had a great time.

Thanks Jeff and Kevin for, not only helping me with my code, but·much more·how you took time to teach·me about programming.

My apologies to "Ethel", I meant your red dress made you look "phat", (slang for good). The bubble spray in my eyes was not as bad as pepper spray.

@Roy - It was a pleasure meeting you and finally nice to put a face with your online name on both the Parallax and Savage Circuits forums.

@pjv - It was nice seeing you again.

@Stefan - several of us are organizing all of our materials (pictures, videos, interviews, etc) to be posted. As much information as I got it will take me several days to compile and edit it for posting on the forums.

Thanks to all for the work in organizing UPEW 2010 and making it run smoothly. It was really nice to meet in person many of the people here on the forums as well as many of the Parallax staff who help make that organization work.

Thanks to all the organisers, and of course Parallax. The video was a great addition. Pitty Chip spoke sometime around 3am so I missed it. Shame I was not able to be there too.
