Thanks to the people who wrote in the chat a summary of the exposure of Chip.

And thanks for organizing the events.

FYI, does anyone know who was showing off the err, Lady Bot? He had a problem with COM ports changing intermittently on boot-up, and I thought I'd suggest this thread:

http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=25&m=458473

BTW, goodie bags included a USB Prop board, keyboard and RCA adapters.
You gotta be quick at these shows though. Ken was giving 7 of us a talk in the conference room and explaining a QA problem they'd had. He jumped up and grabbed 7 samples and passed them out. Finishing my hotdog cost me mine when someone swooped in and grabbed it :)

On the whole, I came away more than a little impressed with Parallax and everyone involved. The enthusiasm is genuine, and infectious. All my AVR/Arduino stuff is going in a drawer for a while...

I'll second what Baggers just said. It really is a good scene.

This year was bigger than last year, and a lot of fun. What I find most enjoyable is the after expo time in the evening. A lot of the crowd fades away, leaving people working on stuff, optionally (well mandatory for me coffee), and some great talk / work, show and tell. I'm just now going to score some sleep so I've got a shot at being a good human for the flight back tomorrow. I left the room watching good friends just doing what they like to do.
